I think if you haven’t had a Hoyt and you can afford the VTM it’s definitely worth it. However if you bought a Ventum Pro used I don’t think you’d miss a ton if you wanted to save a little. The draw cycle of the phase 4 was awesome, smooth and pulled easy for the weight. Went there to look at vx33 on sale but jst rolled with the phase 4, never shot the vx33, lol.

The Mathews was shooting at 307 fps vs 296 from the Hoyt (!). I was so impressed by the draw cycle vs. speed from the Mathews. Then you consider the riser length of the Mathews (33.5" vs. 31" from the Hoyt) and the weight (4.25 lbs. vs. 4.5 lbs. from the Hoyt) and the reflex (1.5" on the Mathews vs. 1.75" on the Hoyt)...My second bow I have ever bought. The difference in weight is noticeable. The phase 4 feels like a tank. I also think the Phase 4 is smoother to draw with less of a dump. Not that the Lift is bad, it's just more noticeable. First off, I shot the Phase 4 side by side with a V3X, both 29" ATA and 60 pounds, 28" draw length. I will say, both shot very nicely and I could barely tell a difference. As a matter of fact, the Phase 4 had the Mathews 10" stabilizer in the riser, and the V3X did not have a stab and I thought the V3X might have actually had less felt ...I did not chrono either of them as there is plenty of info out there on where these bows come in speed wise. The consensus is that the Mathews is 3-5 fps faster than the Hoyt. Lift 33. Where do I start. The draw is light years better in my mind than the previous few years of Mathews with SW cams.

Someone from Hamskea even commented on a post a while back saying not to use it has the newer Mathews have to move limb oscillation and it is causing contact issues. Hoyt has quite a few compound bows that go for close to $2,000, but they also have a few that price at less than $500. As for Mathews, their lowest-priced bow for 2019 is still above $800. For those willing to spend some serious cash on a quality bow, $800 isn’t a huge sacrifice.

I was surprised that the longer ata Hoyt draw cycle wasnt as linear as the 30. It had a small dump into the valley similar to the Mathews. The Hoyt 33 also had just a slight buzz in the palm of my hand and it wasnt as quiet as the 30 or the V3X. ashkashjohn reesor williamsgas stations near denver airport car rental The Lift has a longer riser which makes a difference with stability and accuracy. the Lift will shoot 3-6 fps faster then the Phase4 or V3X’s. The weight difference is substantial though, you will definitely notice that. That’s the biggest upgrade about that Lift that’s tremendously different then the Phase4 and V3X.
