As mentioned, the GMT-300BLK is a thread-mount suppressor. Threading on a suppressor is the strongest, most precise method of mounting a suppressor. They are generally more accurate and less prone to alignment issues and baffle strikes, although thread-mount suppressors can work themselves loose and out of alignment..

Turned out the bore tightened up to either .19 or .17 bore at the muzzle, ripping apart the jackets but not damaging the baffles of my can. Also turned out with an in spec barrel, .22WMR was way quieter than I expected it to be, due to maintaining itself through the barrel and canAnd baffle strikes aren't the horror some would lead us to believe they are. Now cross threading - one can have nightmares about that - that could mess up the suppressor and barrel :blink: Although, I think the suppressor threads are in really hard, tough, steel, so it would be really hard to cross thread one and it should be immediately obvious.
